Finally! Someone who gets it. Chartreuse and orange has been one of my fave combos for eyes for years now. Make up is fun and I do it for me. What is the point in beige?

Actually, once you get the hang of the smoky eye or using 3 or 4 colours at a time to create a beige contoured look, then you can really let fly with the colour.

You learn stuff like lining inside the eye, highlighting inner corners, blending with gold or silver over the middle of two colours so it isn’t harsh. I really wish people would stop deeming makeup as shallow and think of it as an art. Use it for self expression.

I don’t think it’s properly hit me yet. Mum’s pre op was today. They’re going to liase with all her specialists: Heart, lungs, skin etc. Long story short they have to get it out and they are going to put her in intensive care [again] after. DO NOT LIKE. She’s died on me too many times.

My birthday’s this week. Except that I wanna play ostrich and hide my head in the sand til it passes. I spent my last birthday holding her hand while they pulled the lines out of her neck in ICU. Not that she remembers any of it. We’re the one’s who are traumatised.
